Build on your knowledge of laser refractive eye surgery in our second Fundamentals of Laser Refractive Surgery course.

A continuation to our Fundamentals of Laser Refractive Surgery 1.1 course, this program focuses specifically on laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK), photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and kerato-lenticule extraction (KLEX) eye surgeries.

In this six-module course, you'll learn advanced techniques for each procedure, gain insights from real-world case studies, and be able to troubleshoot with peers.

Course Pre-Requisites

Participants in this course should be advanced ophthalmology trainees or ophthalmologists.

There are two requirements for successful completion of the course:
1. Participation in 4 out of the 6 weekly discussion boards. This can range from asking a question about that week's lecture topic to sharing some insights with other participants or discussing a paper you read.
2. Participation in 2 out of the 3 live tutorials.

Colin Chan Professor Colin Chan is a senior clinical academic and ophthalmic surgeon with over two decades of clinical experience as a corneal, cataract and refractive subspecialist at Australia’s largest private refractive practice where he is currently the managing partner. He is recognized nationally and internationally as a key opinion leader in the field with numerous invited lectures and panel chairs at national and international level. Professor Chan has adjunct professorial academic appointments at three universities: the University of Sydney, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Canberra. He is currently the Academic Coordinator for the postgraduate ophthalmology short courses program and cataract and refractive surgery modules at the University of Sydney. He is the Convenor of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Satellite Congress Program and Secretary of the APAO Standing Congress Committee. Read More	True
