Professor Colin Chan is a senior clinical academic and ophthalmic surgeon with over two decades of clinical experience as a corneal, cataract and refractive subspecialist at Australia’s largest private refractive practice where he is currently the managing partner. He is recognized nationally and internationally as a key opinion leader in the field with numerous invited lectures and panel chairs at national and international level. Professor Chan has adjunct professorial academic appointments at three universities: the University of Sydney, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Canberra. He is currently the Academic Coordinator for the postgraduate ophthalmology short courses program and cataract and refractive surgery modules at the University of Sydney. He is the Convenor of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Satellite Congress Program and Secretary of the APAO Standing Congress Committee.
