Description

This short course will introduce you to the study of human skeletal remains and teeth within a legal context. You will review the identification of human and non-human bones and teeth as well as the processes used to reconstruct the ancestry/race, age, sex and stature from skeletal remains. There will also be an emphasis on the implications of trauma, taphonomy, and personal identification of skeletal remains within different contexts. Lectures would be delivered via Zoom and an in-person two-day workshop in the Shellshear Museum of Physical Anthropology and Comparative Anatomy at the University of Sydney will allow you to apply your skills to a variety of case studies.

The Digital Health Essentials micro-credential addresses the growing use of digital health technologies to address a range of health challenges. Topics covered include: how telehealth and virtual care have the potential to reshape models of healthcare, how wearable devices, smartphone apps and virtual reality programs can change patient behaviour and clinical outcomes; and how machine learning, artificial intelligence and data analytics can enhance clinical decision making.
