Learning outcomes

  • -Synthesise the history of presenting complaint with clinical findings to develop a differential diagnosis for a paediatric dermatological presentation
  • -Formulate a differential diagnosis based on the primary morphology of skin presentation
  • -Distinguish atopic dermatitis from differential diagnoses such as tinea corporis, scabies, and contact dermatitis 
  • -Compare and contrast common paediatric infectious dermatological presentations 
  • -Develop a management plan for common inflammatory and infectious dermatological conditions
  • -Integrate evidence-based practice into the management of common paediatric inflammatory dermatoses 
  • -Collaborate with dermatologists and paediatricians in the management of paediatric dermatological conditions 

Course Delivery Method

Online. This course is primarily delivered through self-directed, interactive learning activities, supported by pre-recorded presentations that allow participants to progress at their own pace. Two live webinars are included: an introductory session with orientation and a drop-in Q&A session to support learner engagement and discussion.

Participants must be AHPRA registered.

Participants must successfully complete at least 75% of the Program content to be eligible for completion recognition. Progression through the content will be tracked, and participants will be required to submit a self-declaration at the conclusion of the Program confirming that this completion threshold has been met. This declaration may be independently verified by the University if required.

Upon successful completion of the Program, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Completion from the University of Sydney.
