Associate Professor Jeremy Hsu is a general surgeon with subspecialty training in trauma/surgical critical care and breast cancer surgery. After completing general surgical training in Sydney, Australia, a trauma/surgical critical care fellowship was completed in Seattle, USA at Harborview Medical Centre/University of Washington. Following this, a breast cancer surgery fellowship was completed at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute in Sydney, Australia. He currently divides his time at Westmead Hospital between trauma/emergency general surgery and breast cancer surgery. He is the Director of Trauma and holds a clinical academic appointment with both the University of Sydney and Macquarie University. Associate Professor Hsu is the current President of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Surgery of Trauma. Associate Professor Hsu is actively involved in teaching medical students and surgical trainees.
